To better support any curriculum alignment or clarification work that teams may complete this year, we are sharing the latest Google Sheet created by our team: 2023 Reduced Indiana Academic Standards, K-12, Social Studies. Educators will see that K-5 and 6-12 are found on two separate tabs in the same sheet.
The sheets are based off of the The Indiana Department of Education's content and grade-specific standards. You can view their easily accessible PDF documents in this post as well. If you haven't had the opportunity to explore the files yet, the accompanying memo provides links to folders that contain the following subjects:

K-12 Social Studies (recently added!)
Many of the standards themselves are the same. Take your time and notice which standards are no longer listed, which are now identified as essential, and how the new numbering works for your content or grade level.
You will also notice for social studies, that the new 6th Grade Civics standards stand alone in their own column (for your ease of access).
