Science, K-12, Indiana's Updated Standards

To better support any curriculum alignment or clarification work that teams may complete this year, we are sharing the latest Google Sheet created by our team: 2023 Reduced Indiana Academic Standards, K-5 Science as well as the 2023 Reduced Indiana Academic Standards, 6-12, Science.

The sheets are based off of the The Indiana Department of Education's content and grade-specific standards. You can view their easily accessible PDF documents in this post as well. If you haven't had the opportunity to explore the files yet, the accompanying memo provides links to folders that contain the following subjects:

• Mathematics

• English/Language Arts

• Science and Computer Science

• Social Studies

Many of the standards themselves are the same. Take your time and notice which standards are no longer listed, which are now identified as essential, and how the new numbering works for your content or grade level.
